Strathcona County sees overwhelming support in annual satisfaction survey

Strathcona County has released the results of their annual satisfaction survey.

The results show that an overwhelming majority of residents enjoy living in the county, with 95 per cent of residents ranking the country as a good or very good place to live.

“I’m proud of how the County continues to excel in providing exemplary programming and services to our community, even in the midst of economic uncertainty,” said Mayor Rod Frank. “This service level with fiscal responsibility is a testament to Council’s approach to sustainable planning, delivered by top-tier staff who are clearly invested in the success of people living, working and playing in Strathcona County. Citizen satisfaction is one of three key indicators for municipal services, so these results are extremely important and meaningful.”

Other statistics in the survey shows that 91 per cent of residents saw the county as a safe community, with 85 per cent satisfied with the county’s infrastructure, and 82 per cent satisfied with county services.

Many of these stats have seen an increase from the year before, with the exception of residents feeling safe, which dropped by 1 per cent from 2023.

The survey is meant to reflect the views of both rural and urban residents, with the survey having been conducted over several weeks at the start of the year.

A full report of the survey is available on the Strathcona County website.
