What’s happening this weekend

West Block Night Market takes place Friday, June 7. Take part in an evening of:

This event is FREE and open to all.

There is limited parking on site.  Attendees are encouraged to carpool, walk, or take public transit. 

Located at West Block Drive, north of the corner of 142 St and Stony Plain Road.

The inaugural ICE District Carnival takes place is on Friday until Sunday, June 9.  This exciting event promises to be the largest midway ever hosted in Downtown Edmonton, featuring over 25 of the most popular rides, various carnival games, and your favourite delicious food and refreshments.

The Elks play their season opener on June 8, 2pm, hosting the Saskatchewan Roughriders.  Pregame events include:

  • Tailgating, live music, and food and drink at Elks Fan Park, just outside of Gate 2 (Southwest corner of Commonwealth Stadium).
  • The Grey Cup makes an appearance to commemorate the Elks 75th Season.  Get your picture taken pre-game with the iconic trophy outside the stadium in Elks Fan Park, or visit during the first half inside the stadium at the South end concourse.
  • Flyover by the Royal Canadian Air Force, which is celebrating its centennial in 2024.
