Revenge of the scorching heat

We will hit a high of 25° at 4 PM and start to decline around 6 PM.

Temperatures are set to moderate for most of Alberta on Friday and stay in the low to mid 20’s during the weekend. The heat comes back Monday for its revenge that is looking to stay for at least the next two weeks.

Tonight will be a bit cooler than it has been the past few days, with 12° and mainly clear.

Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for nearly all of Alberta. The high temperatures have strained generator capabilities, prompting the Alberta Electric System Operator to issue a grid alert.

Residents are advised to limit non-essential use of lights and appliances and to reduce air conditioning usage, especially during peak hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, in efforts to stabilize the electricity grid.
