Body of missing teenage boy found, police believe may be a homicide, Maskwacis, Alta

The body of a teenage boy reported missing last week has been found in Maskwacis, Alta, and police are treating the death as a potential homicide.

The RCMP confirmed that an autopsy has determined the cause of death, though they have not disclosed specific details. The teenager was reported missing on Tuesday. The RCMP declined to comment on the day the body was discovered.

The investigation has been transferred to the RCMP Provincial Major Crimes Unit.
