Man dead after being struck by a CP train in south Edmonton

A man is dead after being struck by a train in south Edmonton last night, according to police. The incident occurred on the CP Rail line on  at Ellerslie Road between 100th Street and Parsons Road.

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) reports that the collision happened on the railway tracks. The road was reopened to traffic this morning following the incident. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the event.
