Man arrested after 15-year-old girl shot in Louis Bull First Nation

A 24-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting incident on Louis Bull First Nation last week that left a 15-year-old girl with serious injuries.

On August 8th, Maskwacis RCMP received a report of a shooting outside a residence. When officers arrived, they found the 15-year-old girl with gunshot wounds. She was airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her current condition remains unknown.

Additionally, a second person was treated for minor injuries after being struck by a car during the incident.

Later the same day, RCMP executed a search warrant at a Sherwood Park hotel room. The search led to the arrest of the 24-year-old man and the seizure of a loaded semi-automatic rifle. He faces charges including attempted murder, possession of a firearm contrary to an order, and four weapon-related offenses.
