Health Canada has issued a warning regarding unauthorized medical treatments conducted at Med Skin Laser Centre in Sherwood Park. According to the agency, the clinic’s owner and operator were posing as qualified practitioners without the necessary credentials.
The warning includes concerns about unauthorized Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments that were administered for hair restoration, breast enhancements, facelifts, and other procedures. Health Canada cautioned that these unauthorized treatments pose serious health risks, including the potential transmission of infectious diseases, contamination, and toxic effects.

In addition to the unqualified procedures, Health Canada has seized prescription Botox and various unauthorized medical devices from the clinic. These devices include microneedle tips and a plasma pen, which were not approved for use.
