Circle-K Parent company wants to buy 7-Eleven

The company behind Circle K is making a move to acquire all 7-Eleven stores, according to a confidential proposal received by 7-Eleven. The proposal, described as “non-binding and preliminary,” seeks to purchase all outstanding shares of the Japanese retail giant.

In response to the proposal, 7-Eleven’s board of directors has established a special committee to conduct a “prompt, careful, and comprehensive review” of the offer. The company stated that it will provide an update once a decision has been made or if additional information needs to be disclosed.
