Truck wanted after a hit-and-run in St. Albert

St. Albert RCMP are searching for a black truck involved in a hit-and-run collision that resulted in a vehicle catching fire earlier today.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Villeneuve Road, near the traffic circle by Walmart. According to Mounties, the vehicle was struck from behind by an aggressive driver in a black truck. The force of the collision caused the vehicle to veer off the road and ignite.

Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was not injured, but the vehicle was deemed a total loss.

The truck was last seen heading west on Villeneuve Road and is described as a 2015-2020 GMC Sierra,Red or pink rims, Black headache rack, Metal push bar/bumper on front, And, damage to the passenger side.

Anyone with security or dash camera footage should call local police or St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-8477.
