Employee Found Dead in Office cubicle, Body Unnoticed for Four Days

In an indictment of workplace isolation and toxic corporate culture, a sense of unease permeates the Wells Fargo corporate office in Tempe, Arizona, following the discovery of an employee’s body, which police believe went unnoticed for four days.

Denise Prudhomme, 60, scanned into work on August 16th but was not found until August 20th when security personnel discovered her unresponsive at her desk. Authorities confirmed her death upon arrival, yet the cause and exact time of her passing remain undetermined.

Prudhomme’s cubicle, situated on the third floor away from the main aisle, seemed to escape attention despite an increasingly foul odour that some attributed to faulty plumbing. The building, though largely populated by remote workers, is under 24/7 security—a fact that raises questions about how Prudhomme’s death went unnoticed.

Tempe police have found no signs of foul play, yet the lack of transparency from Wells Fargo has left employees frustrated. A company spokesperson expressed deep sorrow over Prudhomme’s death and assured that they are cooperating fully with the investigation.
