Fort Saskatchewan RCMP investigate incident involving firearm and trespassers

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a trespassing complaint at a private property in Lamont County yesterday morning.

The homeowner reported that two unknown individuals were on his property and were possibly tampering with his security cameras. The homeowner confronted the trespassers with a firearm, discharging one shot. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Following the confrontation, the homeowner returned to his house, and the two individuals moved to a neighboring property.

The homeowner has been released from custody pending the conclusion of the investigation and the determination of any potential charges.
