2 men charged after a home invasion in parkland county

Two men have been charged following a home invasion in Parkland County on Tuesday.

RCMP responded to a call about a break-and-enter and a possible extortion involving a firearm at a residence. Upon arrival, officers ensured the woman living in the home was evacuated safely.

Inside the residence, police found two men in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. During the incident, one of the men sustained “significant injury” after being attacked by a large dog and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The two men, aged 41 and 40, both from Edmonton, are facing multiple charges in connection with the home invasion.
