4 charged in connection to abduction in Fort Saskatchewan

Four individuals have been charged in connection with a kidnapping incident that occurred last week, according to Alberta RCMP.

On September 5, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP received a report that a woman had been forcibly taken and placed in a vehicle by unknown individuals. The woman managed to discreetly send a text message to someone, who then contacted the police.

RCMP traced the vehicle to a residence in Vermilion, where they apprehended the four suspects. Upon taking them into custody, officers discovered a machete inside the vehicle. The woman, who was found unharmed, was not injured during the incident.

Since, the RCMP has charged 39-year-old Wyatt Darryl Fiddler, 34-year-old Guy Edward Delorme, 24-year-old Kaylee Sunshine, and 21-year-old Cameron Gia Lawrence with kidnapping with a firearm, forcible confinement, and administering a noxious substance.

Fiddler, Delorme, and Lawrence were also charged with failing to comply with a release order. The three of them were also remanded into custody and will appear in court on Sept. 12.

Sunshine has been released and is expected to appear in court on Sept. 12.

Further details about the case have not been released as the investigation continues.
