Pedestrian seriously injured in collision near Kingsway

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Kingsway on the evening of September 10.

Police reported that around 8:30 p.m., a man was hit by a Dodge Caravan traveling eastbound on 111th Avenue as he crossed the LRT tracks at 105th Street. The man was reportedly stepping into the driving lane when the collision occurred.

He was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge Caravan was not injured, and it has not yet been determined if any charges will be laid.

LRT service in the area was disrupted during the investigation.
