St. Albert RCMP respond to fatal collision that killed senior

A 75-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the road earlier today.

St. Albert RCMP responded to the incident at around 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Liberton Drive and Lennox Drive. According to reports, a Honda Accord hit the pedestrian who was crossing at a crosswalk.

The man was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with police. No further information has been released at this time.
