A woman is in critical condition following a violent assault north of Edmonton over the weekend.
Emergency crews responded to reports of an assault at Long Island Lake in Westlock County on Saturday night. The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Details about the incident remain sparse, and authorities have not released further information.
