Collision closes down part of Whitemud Drive

Edmonton police have announced that part of Whitemud Drive has been reduced to one lane near 11th Street following a two-vehicle collision.

Police responded to reports of the accident around 9 a.m. today. The collision caused one of the vehicles to flip, blocking multiple lanes of traffic.

Paramedics attended the scene and treated two women, the drivers of the involved vehicles, who were subsequently transported to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible while police conduct their investigation.
