Suspicious Death in Edmonton’s River Valley Under Investigation

The Edmonton Police Service has launched an investigation following the discovery of a fatally injured man in the city’s river valley. On Saturday morning, pedestrians near Nellie McClung Park, close to 100 Street and 91 Avenue, encountered the injured individual. Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene at approximately 9 am and found that the man had succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation into the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, as authorities seek to determine the cause of death and potential suspects.
