Motorcyclist in hospital after collision is SE Edmonton

One individual was taken to hospital following a crash in southeast Edmonton on Tuesday. Police responded to a collision at the intersection of 75th Street and 77th Avenue involving a truck and a motorcycle.

According to authorities, the motorcycle was travelling northbound on 75th Street when a truck, which was coming from the intersection the rider was approaching, turned northbound onto 75th Street directly in front of the motorcycle. The rider locked up the brakes and laid down the bike to avoid a more severe impact.

The motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The collision remains under investigation.
