Strathcona County RCMP Investigate collision

One man is dead following a two-vehicle collision this morning near Township Road 54 and Range Road 214.

Emergency responders pronounced the male victim dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP remained on scene for several hours to investigate the incident but have since cleared the area, and traffic has resumed normal flow.

Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the collision, and an investigation is ongoing involving the 42-year-old surviving driver. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
