Anti-2SLGBTQIA+ school policy protest to slow down Edmonton traffic

Edmonton police are advising the public to expect traffic disruptions today near the headquarters of the Alberta Teachers’ Association. This follows a protest against the inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity in school curriculum.

Protests are being organized across the country, and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community are expected to attend as a counter-protest.

Authorities anticipate that the events will impact traffic on 107th Avenue, 111th Avenue, 142nd Street, and Groat Road. Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes and stay informed about potential delays.
