Wetaskiwin RCMP charge 36-year-old with attempted murder

Wetaskiwin RCMP have charged a 36-year-old man with attempted murder following an incident in August where a man was found severely injured in a field.

On August 13, officers responded to reports of an injured man and discovered the victim suffering from serious head injuries. He was flown to the hospital in critical condition.

On September 4, police identified and arrested an individual believed to be responsible for the injuries in the Samson Cree Nation.

Shaden Buffalo has since been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 1.
