3 youths charged and one wanted for attempted murder in Westlock County

Three youths from Edmonton have been charged in connection with the attempted murder of an 18-year-old woman last month, while a fourth suspect remains at large.

Westlock RCMP report that the victim suffered serious, life-threatening injuries during the assault on September 7 but is expected to survive. According to investigators, the woman was transporting the suspects out of Westlock when they “suddenly attacked” her near Long Island Lake RV Park in Westlock County.

Police believe the suspects intended to kill her and leave her in the forest. The three arrested suspects face multiple charges, including attempted murder, robbery, and aggravated assault, and are currently in custody awaiting court proceedings.

RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for the fourth suspect involved in the incident.
