EPS looking for suspect of cannabis store robberies in Edmonton

Edmonton police are searching for a suspect following two cannabis dispensary robberies in the city within the span of a week.

On September 17, a man entered a store located at 52nd Avenue and Terwillegar Boulevard around 11 p.m. He approached the clerk, demanded cash, and forced the employee to take him to the stock room, where he filled his bags with cannabis products before fleeing the scene.

Five days later, the same man allegedly struck again at a dispensary on 66th Street and 42nd Avenue around 10 p.m. During this incident, the suspect brandished a handgun, prompting the clerk to activate the panic alarm. The suspect then fled the store.

Witnesses reported seeing the man running along 66th Street. According to police, he was wearing a fake beard, sunglasses, and a baseball cap in both incidents.
