1 person in hospital after a fire in west Edmonton industrial area

One person was taken to the hospital today following a fire at an industrial building located at 230th Street and 108th Avenue in west Edmonton.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services received the call around 10:30 a.m. Firefighters declared the blaze under control by 10:50 a.m. and extinguished it by 11:30 a.m.

Officials report that one individual was transported to the hospital, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. An assessment of the damages to the property is also underway.
