Man dies after being stuck in a trench in Parkland County

A man has died after becoming trapped in a trench early this morning.

Emergency crews were dispatched to a rural property in Parkland County around 10 a.m. A technical rescue team from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services was also called to assist. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Occupational Health and Safety is conducting an investigation into the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
