Dow employees receive paid time off to help with wildfire relief efforts in Jasper

Dow Canada is providing employees with paid time off to assist in wildfire relief efforts in Jasper, Alberta. Recently, members of the company’s Veteran Network employee resource group participated in a volunteer mission in the affected area.

During their week-long deployment, each employee assisted approximately 40 homes. In a news release, Dow noted that since 2017, it has enabled employees to deploy for up to two weeks with Team Rubicon under military leave policies.

While Team Rubicon is veteran-led, the organization welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds. Additionally, Dow has made a $10,000 donation to Team Rubicon, a contribution that was matched by CN.

Since partnering with Team Rubicon, more than 50 Dow employees have engaged in disaster relief efforts across North America and the Caribbean, including recent wildfire relief in Nova Scotia and flood assistance in Kentucky.
