Camrose Casino moves to Edmonton

The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) board has announced that Camrose Casino will be moving to Edmonton.

According to the AGLC, the relocation will boost returns for rural charities with minimal impact on charities in the Edmonton pool. The move is also expected to create new jobs and generate additional revenue for the province.

Before the move can proceed, the casino owners must complete several steps, including securing land use permits, zoning, and development approvals. The AGLC says that construction of the new facility and compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations must be finalized before a casino licence is issued.
