Edmonton Oil Kings celebrated Thanksgiving weekend with 2 wins

The Edmonton Oil Kings had a successful Thanksgiving Weekend, earning four points with wins over the Red Deer Rebels and the Vancouver Giants.

On Saturday, the Oil Kings dominated the Rebels, leading 5-0 before Red Deer scored early in the third period. Gavin Hodnett, Roan Woodward, Cole Miller, Landon Hanson, and Gracyn Sawchyn each scored for Edmonton. Goaltender Alex Worthington made 28 saves on 29 shots.

On Monday, the Oil Kings faced a thrilling matchup against the Vancouver Giants, winning 5-4. The game was close, with neither team leading by more than one goal. Blake Fiddler tied the game late, and Adam Jecho scored shortly after on a power play. Hanson and Miroslav Holinka also scored, while Worthington made 27 saves.

The Oil Kings will soon announce results from their food drive for the Edmonton Food Bank.
