Elderly woman hospitalized after rollover in south Edmonton

An elderly woman was hospitalized following a rollover incident in south Edmonton on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near 99th Street and 42nd Avenue shortly after 3:10 p.m. According to Edmonton police, a Dodge Journey was facing east at the stop sign on 42 Avenue when it proceeded to cross 99 Street.

The vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a southbound Honda Civic, causing the Dodge to roll over. The sole occupant of the Journey, an elderly woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. The driver of the Civic was unharmed.
