Alberta man facing dozens of charges for indecent phone calls to businesses

A man is facing 35 charges after allegedly making multiple indecent and threatening phone calls to businesses across Alberta.

Red Deer RCMP and Calgary Police began separate investigations after receiving numerous reports from real estate agents and others in related industries about disturbing phone calls. Investigators say the calls involved threatening and sexual comments.

A joint investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Kyle Richard Shave, who now faces 35 charges, including 22 counts of harassing communications, 12 counts of uttering threats, and one count of indecent communications.

Shave is expected to appear in court later this month.
