Hundreds of frozen waffle products recalled due to possible Listeria contamination

A voluntary recall has been issued for hundreds of frozen waffle products by TreeHouse Foods due to potential Listeria contamination.

The recalled waffles are sold under various brand names, including Walmart’s Great Value, Target’s Good & Gather, and private label brands such as No Name, Compliments, Selection, and Western Family in Canada.

Listeria infections can cause mild illnesses, including fever and diarrhea, but they can lead to more serious complications, particularly in vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, newborns, adults over 65, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

TreeHouse Foods reported that there have been no confirmed cases of illness related to the recalled waffles.

The company said consumers holding any of the products should dispose of them or return them to the store for credit.
