Police ask for public assistance locating arson suspect responsible for the four-home blaze in Fraser neighborhood back in July

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating an arson suspect linked to a fire that caused an estimated $4.5 million in damages in northeast Edmonton back in July.

The Edmonton Police Service reports that four homes in the Fraser neighborhood suffered extensive damage during the fires on July 25, with two of the houses being total losses. Initially, investigators indicated that the fire, which started at an under-construction home, spread due to strong winds.

Now, after a lengthy investigation, police are releasing a photo of the suspect and believe he is responsible for the incident. The suspect is described as being between 5’6″ and 5’10” tall and was last seen wearing a black Levi’s sweater over a grey hoodie, black pants, and grey shoes.

Anyone able to identify the suspect is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
