EPS looking for robbery suspect

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating an armed robbery that took place on the night of October 8 at a convenience store in the Jasper Place neighborhood. The suspect allegedly stole approximately $6,000 worth of watches, vapes, cigarettes, and cash.

According to police reports, the suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun, and threatened the store clerk before smashing the cash register. He then filled a blue plastic bag with cash and stolen items before fleeing the scene on foot. Thankfully, no employees or customers were injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as an adult male with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black puffy jacket, dark jeans with white inner seams, grey running shoes, black gloves, and a distinctive neon green alien mask.

The Edmonton Police Service is urging anyone with information regarding the robbery to come forward. Tips can be reported by contacting the EPS at 780-423-4567 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
