In the first inning, Betts leaped at the wall to catch a pop-up hit by Gleyber Torres. While Betts initially caught the ball, one fan grabbed his glove with both hands, while another pulled on his other hand, leading to an interference call against Torres.
At the time of the incident, the Dodgers were leading by two runs following Freddie Freeman’s two-run homer, but they ultimately lost to the Yankees 11-4, missing the chance to complete a sweep.
