Man stabbed in west Edmonton taken to the hospital

A man was stabbed in west Edmonton early this morning, prompting a response from emergency services. At around 7:20 AM, responders arrived at the intersection of 170 Street and 100 Avenue, where they found the victim injured and lying on the road. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police have stated that the attack was not captured on video but believe it to be an isolated incident, assuring the public that there is no ongoing safety concern. Multiple police units were present at the scene, and part of northbound 170 Street was closed while the investigation took place.
