Lloydminster RCMP arrest Edmonton man after a police pursuit

Lloydminster RCMP have arrested a male following a high-speed flight from police.

On Monday, officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle near 47th Avenue and 36th Street in Lloydminster. The driver fled the scene, heading eastbound on 44th Avenue at high speeds.

Shortly after, officers located the vehicle near 44th Avenue. The driver was taken into custody without incident.

Shaun William McLeod, a resident of Edmonton, has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Failure to comply with a release order (two counts)

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Shaun McLeod was remanded into custody until Oct. 31, 2024.
