Western authorities suspect Russian involvement in cargo plane plot

Western security officials are investigating a suspected Russian plot to place incendiary packages on cargo planes destined for North America. The situation escalated when one plane caught fire at a courier hub in Germany, while another ignited in a warehouse in England.

Lithuania’s prosecutor general has reported that an unspecified number of individuals have been detained in several countries in connection with the investigation, although no further details have been provided.

In response to these incidents, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration has implemented additional security measures for certain cargo shipments entering the country. However, a U.S. official has reassured the public that there is currently no active threat targeting flights to the U.S.
