Annual Lights Up! celebration in Fort Saskatchewan on November 29

On Friday, November 29, 2024, from 5:15 to 7:30 PM at City Hall, this free, family-friendly event will kick off the holiday season with festive activities and community spirit.

The evening begins with pictures with Santa at the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library, followed by exciting glow shows starting at 5:30 PM, with additional shows at 6:15 PM, 6:35 PM, and 7:00 PM.

Activities for all ages

  • Caricature art by LC The Draw Guy
  • Face painting in City Hall’s Lang Room
  • Costumed characters such as the Grinch and Elsa roaming the area
  • A holiday petting zoo and fire pits in the City Hall parking lot
  • Performances by local musicians in the City Hall lobby
  • Christmas carolers at the library
  • A cultural display at Pioneer House showcasing festive traditions
  • The debut of the Enchanted Forest with decorated trees

Enjoy complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, with gluten-free and nut-free options available thanks to Dow.

As the night wraps up, gather at 7:15 PM on the City Hall veranda for holiday carols and a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Mayor Katchur at 7:25 PM. The evening will end with a countdown at 7:30 PM, lighting up the City Hall grounds with holiday lights.
