Karie Kreutz wins 2024 TPC bowling tournament hosted at Sherwood Bowl

The 2024 TPC Bowling Tournament wrapped up with Karie Kreutz claiming the championship, achieving a “Grand Slam” in Western Canadian Bowling Tour (WCBT) events.

The tournament was hosted at Sherwood Bowl and brought 243 competitors for four days of bowling. Event organizers expressed appreciation for title sponsor Schwartz Home Building Center, along with Bradson Promotional Group and 5 Pin Universe, which have supported the event from the start. Organizers also thanked the dedicated volunteers—Blair, Len, Sue, and Dex—who played a vital role in keeping the tournament running smoothly.

Alyssa Gelardi won the Ladies’ Invitational, while Katie Rayner made history by winning the $1,000 Invitational, becoming the first woman to do so.

The main event saw Karie Kreutz not only score the highest game of 435 but also dominate in Sunday’s finals, where he emerged as the champion after a challenging run, beating former champion Adam Weber in the final rounds.

Kreutz’s is now the first player to achieve a “Grand Slam” across all major WCBT events. His photo will be added to Sherwood Bowl’s wall of champions.

With the TPC complete, the next stop on the WCBT tour is the Manitoba Open at St. James Lanes, happening in just over two weeks. Organizers invite bowlers to sign up soon and join the excitement.

The TPC will return in 2025 from November 6–9.
