Toronto Argonauts win 19th Grey Cup

The Toronto Argonauts and their fans celebrated the team’s 19th Grey Cup championship Tuesday at Maple Leaf Square, two days after their 41-24 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Vancouver.

The Argos overcame challenges throughout the season, including the suspension of star quarterback Chad Kelly and injuries late in the playoffs. Backup QB Nick Arbuckle stepped up in the Grey Cup, throwing for 252 yards and two touchdowns to lead the team to victory and earn MVP honours.

Fans packed the square, chanting “Let’s go Argos!” and celebrating the team’s record-setting achievement. Sunday’s game also featured a halftime show by the Jonas Brothers and a surprise appearance by Prince Harry, who promoted the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver.

Arbuckle, a free agent, hopes to keep playing, possibly with Toronto. The Argos, now CFL’s most decorated team, are already looking toward a 20th championship.
