Santa Claus Parade Brings Festive Cheer to Fort Saskatchewan

The Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce is ushering in the holiday season with its annual Santa Claus Parade, set to light up downtown on December 6. This beloved community tradition will see Santa himself taking a ride through the heart of the city, spreading cheer from his iconic sleigh.

The parade begins at 7 pm, starting at the intersection of 100 Avenue and 101 Street, with a new route designed to showcase the downtown’s festive atmosphere. Children participating in the pre-parade lantern-making workshop at the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library (from 4 to 6 pm) will have the honour of leading the event with their handmade creations.

Adding to the holiday magic, community partners will give away hot chocolate, candy canes, and seasonal treats. Drayden Insurance, McDonald’s, and the Lions Club will host warm-up stations along the route, ensuring that visitors stay cozy while enjoying the festivities.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa, which will be collected by his elves along the parade route.

With its new time, expanded schedule, and neighbourly spirit, the Santa Claus Parade promises to be a memorable start to the holiday season in Fort Saskatchewan.
