Premier Danielle Smith Issued 2 Statements to Albertans of Christian and Jewish Faith

This morning, Premier Smith issued two separate statements regarding this exciting day. The first with a message to Albertans of Christian faith, celebrating today as the “miraculous birth of their Saviour, Jesus Christ”. She shared part of the traditional Christmas story, and then expressed her hope that people in this community extend helping hands to share the goodwill of Christmas. She ended the message stating “May this time bring warmth to our hearts and happiness to your homes. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.”

She issued a second statement celebrating the start of the eight days of Hanukkah. She extended her heartfelt wishes to the Jewish Community in Alberta and stated how she hopes the “Hanukkah lights bring you comfort, continued perseverance, and hope for the future. Chag Hanukkah sameach!”
