Last month, President Donald Trump stated he wanted to turn Canada into the 51st state of the U.S. Striking fear into some of the minds of Canadians. Although the situation originally seemed like a joking matter, some officials are saying to now take Trump’s notion seriously.
This past Tuesday, Prime Minister Trudeau issued a statement stating that “There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States.”
Although this statement did help to ease some Canadian’s minds, Trump’s idea may not be dissipating anytime soon.
Elon Musk responded to Trudeau’s statement saying “Girl, you’re not the governor of Canada anymore, so doesn’t matter what you say”.
