Alberta is sending help to Los Angeles

Alberta will be sending water bombers, night-vision helicopters, and an incident command team to help fight wildfires in L.A.

Premier Danielle Smith issued a statement sending her support to the people affected by the fires. She talked about the importance of having good neighbours and offered assistance “in any way they need during this crisis.” As of yesterday, the fires have burned over 15,000 acres of land, destroyed more than 1,000 structures, and over 130,000 Americans have been evacuated. The fires have also unfortunately resulted in five fatalities thus far.
