This morning around 5 a.m., two homes near Kingsway mall were ablaze. Neighbour John Hidber called 911 once he realized the flames were through the roof of one of the houses. Hidber mentioned how quickly the house was engulfed stating “Within about two minutes, the back side and side of the house were also on fire.” At 5:30 a.m. there were seven firefighters at the scene, putting the flame out. A resident and her brother escaped one house with no injuries, but it is unknown whether there was anyone else at the second house.
