ETS fares rise starting February 1st

Transit fares are getting hiked up starting the first of next month. The price raises are as follows:

  • Arc single trip fares up to 90 minutes: was $2.75, now is $3
  • Cash fare: was $3.50, now is $3.75
  • Standard adult monthly Arc card: was $100, now is $102
  • Seniors monthly Arc card: was $35, now is $36
  • Seniors annual Arc card: was $385, is now $396
  • Ride Transit monthly fare cap: was $35, is now $36 or was $50, is now $51 (depending on income)
  • Youth monthly transit card: was $73, is now $66

The youth fare age eligibility has also changed. Before, anyone younger than 25-years-old qualified for youth cards, it is now anyone between the ages of 13 and 19.

Children 12 and under are still able to ride for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

ETS is also launching a new three-day Arc pass for $24, and a new five-day pass for $30. These can be purchased at any LRT station around Edmonton and any Arc vending machines starting February 1st. These passes are only valid on ETS vehicles and will allow passengers unlimited trips within their purchases time frame after the first tap.
