Yesterday afternoon, a medical emergency at the Fountain Park Recreation Centre in St. Albert caused the facility to shut down for the day. The city of St. Albert issued a statement via Facebook and the city’s website stating “Please note: Fountain Park Recreation Centre will be closed for the rest of the day due to a medical emergency.”
Emergency crews were at the scene quickly, and the city didn’t release any more information on the incident. The facility will remain open today.
