Premier Smith isn’t attending Trump’s inauguration due to bad weather and a venue change

Alberta’s Premier, Danielle Smith, was in Washington for business and was scheduled to watch U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration today. Due to bitter cold weather and a venue change, Smith is staying back and will watch the inauguration from the Canadian Embassy.

The event got moved indoors because of the weather, which meant many ticketed guests could no longer attend, including Smith.
