The Oilers are on a high after their 6-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks last night, despite not having McDavid on the ice. Zach Hyman was the star of the night, scoring two goals and putting another assist under his belt. Draisaitl wasn’t far behind him getting one goal and two assists. Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch expressed his pride for the team after the win. “I thought they played a really good game and any time there was a break down I thought Picks (Calvin Pickard) came up with some big saves.” This much-needed win came at a good time, the Oilers had lost 3-2 just five days prior to the Canucks in the game that had McDavid and Canucks’ Tyler Myers suspended.
The other three goals of the game were scored by Adam Henrique, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Kasperi Kapanen.
